For AI agent workflows · macOS
Keep your Mac awake for long-running AI agent workflows. Local agents and background tasks can keep working while your display sleeps.
Apple Silicon · macOS 27 or later. Includes both apps.
Website preview only. The app controls your keep-awake sessions.
Simple by design
Start a session before your agent gets to work. Stop it when the work is done. Agent Energy keeps the controls close in your menu bar.
Drag both apps into Applications, then open Agent Energy. Find the lightning-bolt icon in your menu bar.
Click the can before starting your agent’s work. ENERGIZED confirms your Mac is staying awake.
Click again when you’re done. Normal sleep behavior resumes.
Still bubbles. No keep-awake session running. Ready when you are.
Bubbles in motion. Your session keeps your Mac awake while the display can rest.
Take it one step further
The download includes Agent Energy Companion for optional closed-lid sessions. Open it from Applications, choose Install Companion, and approve the macOS prompts.
Wait for “You’re all set.” Then return Agent Energy to Standby, check for “Closed lid enabled,” and start a new session.
Good to know
Yes. During a session, your Mac stays awake while the display can sleep. Your screen-lock settings stay in place. Without closed-lid support, keep the lid open.
It means the companion is available for closed-lid support. It does not mean a session is running. Look for ENERGIZED to confirm an active session.
The companion prevents all system sleep, including Sleep from the Apple menu. Return to Standby or quit Agent Energy to restore the previous setting. Keep your Mac ventilated and end the session before putting it in a bag.
No account is required. Agent Energy and its companion do not collect analytics or transmit your activity. Read the privacy policy.
Return to Standby. If you enabled closed-lid support, choose Remove Companion in the companion’s options menu and wait for it to finish. Quit both apps before replacing them or moving them to the Trash. Follow the update guide to set up closed-lid support again. Need help? Get in touch.
